To install the Oracle Analytics Server distributions:

   1. Prepare to install and configure Oracle Analytics Server. See Preparing to Install and Configure Oracle Analytics Server.
   2. Install the WebLogic Server 12.2.1.4 Patch.  Extract p30657796_122140_Generic.zip.
To apply the patch, follow the instructions in the readme file that you extracted from the p30657796_122140_Generic.zip file.
   3. Install Oracle Analytics Server. See Installing the Oracle Analytics Server Software.

On review the "Installing the Oracle Analytics Server" document it suggests to create a new domain. Incase of in-place upgrade why are we creating a new domain.
