Query Blocking Does Not Work For SQL Based Filters In Oracle Analytics (Doc ID 2785806.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 27, 2021

Applies to:

Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Query blocking has been configured, which includes a validation for filter using following function: !tValidator.filterExists()
This function ensures that a filter is applied on a particular column. Else, a pop up appears asking the user to use a filter. This works as expected when user chooses a value from the filter dropdown.
However, if user edits the filter and opts for SQL expression, then the validator function does not recognize the prompt and it throws the pop up asking user to choose a filter.
