Error Message "EPMCFG-10409: The Admin Email Is Not Valid" While Using Newer Domains

On : 11.2.4.0.000 version, Configuration/Administration
Error EPMCFG-10409: The admin email is not valid. But the email address is working and valid
While trying to configure the "Administrator's Email Address" field in the Mail Server (SMTP) setup in Configure Common settings in the EPM 11.2.4 config utility.
Email addresses are in the form: firstname.lastname@newerdomain but they are rejected with this error message:
"EPMCFG-10409: The admin email is not valid. Enter a valid admin email"
Only old top level domains like .com .eu .gov are accepted and not the newer domains.
