Cannot Connect To OAS 5.9.0 With OAC Client Tools 5.9.0 (Doc ID 2806602.1)

Symptoms

In OAC 5.9, You are trying to create an ODBC connection to connect the  Admintool client to the OBI Server using ssl connection as follows.

1. In the Windows Administrative Tools, select ODBC Data Sources (64-bit).
2. Add a new User DSN and select Oracle BI Server-OAC5.9 as the driver.
3. Provide the OAS 5.9 Server hostname and Make sure to check the box Use SSL
4. Click Configure SSL
5. Provide the Certificate File, Certificate Private Key File, and File Containing the Passphrase.
6. Provide the login Credentials and the port then check the box Connect.

It will go not responding for a minute, then the ODBC creation wizard will crash, and nothing will be saved.

- If you try the same with the OAC5.6 client, using the same certificate files, it connects successfully.

Changes

Upgrade to OAS 5.9.
