Symptoms

Running BI Analysis report using OCI loadbalancer fails with '502 Gateway Error'

There was a problem retrieving the response data:Bad Gateway (502). <html> <head><title>502 Bad Gateway</title></head> <body> <center><h1>502 Bad Gateway</h1></center> <hr><center></center> </body> </html> <!-- a padding to disable MSIE and Chrome friendly error page --> <!-- a padding to disable MSIE and Chrome friendly error page --> <!-- a padding to disable MSIE and Chrome friendly error page --> <!-- a padding to disable MSIE and Chrome friendly error page --> <!-- a padding to disable MSIE and Chrome friendly error page --> <!-- a padding to disable MSIE and Chrome friendly error page -->

 

The user gets error immediately after navigating from criteria to results tab in BI Analysis report

The request is not reaching BI layer.
 
There is no messages when this failure happens at obips and weblogic layer

The report works ok at obis layer, which is by passing OCI Loadbalancer.

Changes

 OBIEE 12c environment is migrated to OCI environment
