Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Task Flow Email Alerts Does Not Work (Doc ID 2861680.1)

Symptoms

Executing a Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) task flow with an email alert set fails at the email alert stage and does not work.

The following error messages are seen in SharedServices_TaskFlow_Client.log

"No authentication mechanisms supported by both server and client"

"Unable to execute Email stage: Stage1 Email server is not running. Make sure that Email server is running and try again."


* The network connection works fine. for example, administrator can connect to mail server using telnet or Windows PowerShell on the server.

* SMTP server information is correctly configured using EPM Configurator.
