Essbase Aggregate Storage Option (ASO) application

Symptoms

When attempting to run an FR report which contains an advance member selection function of "Bottom of hierarchy <member_name>" in a column, the following error occurs.

Error executing query: Error: Internal Essbase JAPI
error: [Cannot execute report. Essbase Error(1013033):
ReportWriter exit abnormally]


From FR Web Studio's Task->Data Query Optimization Settings, the following changes had no effect in correcting the error.

  1. Change default "Database Connection Server" to "Report Server" option.
  2. Change default Essbase Queries use MDX "Combine queries using WITH MEMBER" to "Use separate queries" option.
  3. Uncheck the box for "Essbase Queries use MDX" option.
