Unable To Login to Essbase Administration Services : Null Pointer Exception (Doc ID 2885482.1)

Symptoms

EPM 11.2.8 Distributed environment.

Box 1. Foundation + Financial Reporting +Calc Manager + OHS

Box 2. EAS + APS and Essbase

Installation and configuration of all components was successful.

But login to EAS console, fails with " Login failed".
Issue occurs with both EAS web console and thick client.
Other components work fine.

easserver.log has the following entry :

2022-07-18T14:11:43.532-07:00] [EssbaseAdminServices0] [ERROR] [ESSEAS-35505] [oracle.epm.essbase.eas] [TID] [USERID] [ECID] [APP: EAS] [partition-name: DOMAIN] [tenant-name: GLOBAL] Following Exception occurred for user USERNAME. Message exception is java.lang.NullPointerException
