Essbase 21 Not Authenticating to External Provider When Configured with Shared Services, Essbase UI Login Screen Flashes. (Doc ID 2938405.1)

Symptoms

New 21.4.x Essbase installation configured using EPM Shared Services authentication.  During testing, external users are able to log into Shared Services, but not able to log into the Essbase UI, MaxL, curl, SmartView, etc.

SharedServices_SecurityClient.log shows:

EPMCSS-00333: Failed to authenticate user <username>. Invalid credentials. Enter valid credentials.

 

Changes

Copied the configuration from an existing setup, old EPM install to the new environment.
