Purpose

This document provides an overview of the steps required to transition an HPCM standard application to a Management Ledger application.

Scope

Oracle Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management 11.2 provides a modeling and calculation platform that offers 3 distinct application types, Standard, Detailed, and Management Ledger.  Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management applications provide a means of performing allocations and other transformations of financial and operational data for the purposes of costing and determining profitability of business offerings, markets, and channels.

The Management Ledger application type was introduced in Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management release 11.1.2.4.  Management Ledger applications are intended to replace the use of Standard applications.   Management Ledger applications match and exceed the functionality provided by Standard applications.
