Last updated on JUNE 06, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Analytics Server - Version 2023 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

End-to-End SSL (that is, both internal SSL and WebLogic SSL) has been configured for Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) as per: Configure SSL in Oracle Analytics Server

A RPD file is being uploaded using the datamodel script located on the OAS server (that is, not using the script from a Client Tools installation) and references the same custom keystore (used for the WebLogic SSL configuration). For example:

$DOMAIN_HOME/bitools/bin/datamodel.sh uploadrpd -I <RPD file to upload> -W <Password of RPD> -SI ssi -U <weblogic user> -P <Password of weblogic user> -SSL -TS <Custom JKS keystore> -TSP <Password of Custom keystore>

But the datamodel.sh uploadrpd command fails, with the following error:

Post uploadrpd REST with url: https://<Server>:<bi_internal_channel1 port>/bi-lcm/v1/si/ssi/rpd/uploadrpd
Please check server logs, such as bi-lcm-rest.log.0 and obis1-diagnostic.log.. or refer to the error message: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
