Symptoms

The Oracle Analytics Client Installer is downloaded and uncompressed (for example, to C:\TEMP\BI_Client_Installer_Win.exe).  

An installation response file (for example, C:\TEMP\oas_client.rsp) is created with the below contents:

[ENGINE]

#DO NOT CHANGE THIS.
Response File Version=1.0.0.0.0

[GENERIC]

#The oracle home location. This can be an existing Oracle Home or a new Oracle Home
ORACLE_HOME=C:\ORACLE\OAS_CLIENT

#The federated oracle home locations. This should be an existing Oracle Home. Multiple values can be provided as comma seperated values
FEDERATED_ORACLE_HOMES=

A silent installation of the Client Tools is performed by running the below at the command line: 

C:\TEMP\BI_Client_Installer_Win.exe -silent -responseFile C:\TEMP\oas_client.rsp

In the standard output, see messages showing the progress of the installation, but the installer remains "hanging" / does not close off, due to it waiting with the following prompt:

Logs successfully copied to C:\Program Files\Oracle\Inventory\logs.
Press any key to exit
