Last updated on DECEMBER 10, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Analytics Server - Version 2024 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading to OAS 2024, making SOAP calls with a 3rd party client returns the following error:

[2024-11-04T14:27:53Z] [OBIPS] [ERROR:16] [] [saw.soap.sessionrequesthandler] [ecid: ###] [tid: ####] [SI-Key: ] [userId: ] Token based login not supported for API : logoff.[[

This particular scenario, SSO configuration exists. Also using 3rd party client to pass in a header detail for the call.
The URLs used are:

WDSL: http://server:port/analytics/saw.dll?wsdl
Endpoint: http://server.port/analytics/saw.dll?SoapImpl=nQSessionService

When testing in non-SSO instance works fine.

Changes

Customer performed install/upgrade of OAS and uses 3rd part tool to make SOAP calls.
