Symptoms

An error message is displayed when opening a Discoverer workbook (Viewer or Plus) from the E-Business Suite homepage:


"An error has occurred while handling the event.See application log for more details.
OracleBI Discoverer Viewer was unable to find the necessary data for
displaying the results of this event. Please correct any errors and try again."

OR

"The application encountered an invalid state. Contact with backend server lost OracleBI Discoverer Viewer was unable to find the necessary data for displaying the results of this event. Please correct any errors and try again."

 

< $OH>/j2ee/OC4J_BI_Forms/application-deployments/discoverer/OC4J_BI_Forms_default_island_1/application.log has the following errors:
