Symptoms

After launching Discoverer 10g(10.1.2) Plus directly or from E-Business Suite (EBS) menu and then providing the connection details and selecting the responsibility name, it shows the following error:

"java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.disco.DiscoApplet"

Java Console shows the following messages:

Oracle JInitiator: Version 1.3.1.28
Using JRE version 1.3.1.28-internal Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
User home directory = D:\Workstation Configuration\Documents and Settings\am16

Proxy Configuration: no proxy

Loading http://host.domain:7778/discoverer_disco/plus_files/disco5i.jar from JAR cache

load: class oracle.disco.DiscoApplet not found.

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection 
failed.
