Symptoms

Shared Services/openLDAP stops running a few seconds after it has been started.

Error: "Shared Services couldn't be Initialized. The database is either not configured or not running. [Oracle]ORA-28000: the account is locked"

 

SharedServices_Security.log shows:
ERROR [main] com.hyperion.css.registry.RegistryManager.<init>(Unknown Source) -- 20:1092:Failed to initialize EPM System registry. [Root Cause: java.sql.SQLException:

SharedServices_Metadata.log shows:
[main] ERROR com.hyperion.eie.common.EIELog - Unable to connect to database. Will try to re-connect after sleeping for 30 seconds...
[Thread-1] ERROR com.hyperion.eie.config.util.xml.XMLUtils - Registry Initialization Failed

[main] ERROR com.hyperion.ces.utils.db.DBRegistryManager.<init>(DBRegistryManager.java:74) - Failed to get Registry Instance! DB Connection is not existing for SharedService. Check registry for SharedServices
