JDBC Connection Error When Logging Into Planning Application With Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or 2005 (Doc ID 782424.1)

The following error is displayed when attempting to log into a Hyperion Planning application:

An error occurred. See log for details.

The log contains:

SystemErr R java.sql.SQLException: [Hyperion][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Invalid object name 'HSP_SYSTEMCFG'.

or similar JDBC connection errors.


This issue does not arise spontaneously. It is usually seen when Planning application databases are migrated from one server to another.
