Symptoms

Redeployment of a Planning application from Enterprise Performance Management Architect (EPMA) stalls. The message in the EPMA job console is as follows:

Product Response: 200 - 'Waiting for Status Update'

The deployment progress remains at 9%.

Restarting the Planning service allows you to attempt to deploy again, but the issue then reoccurs.

The application validates with no errors in EPMA.

The application deployed successfully the first time. It is during subsequent redeployments that the issue is encountered.

If you examine the Planning web application logs in debug mode, the last activity displayed before the system deployment failure was an update of members to an attribute dimension.

One or more attribute dimensions have been modified since the last successful deployment.
