How to Enable Analytic Data Module (ADM) Tracing for Web Analysis (Doc ID 829154.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Analytic Data Module (ADM) Trace is used to show the actual Essbase query used by WebAnalysis (WA) to retrieve data from Essbase. The query can be run in Essbase Administration Server (EAS), Esscmd, or MaxL to compare or confirm the results seen in WebAnalysis and is sent to the WA Java Application Server log.

For instance, if a particular WebAnalysis document in combination with a certain Point of View (POV) cause an error in WebAnalysis, the same query can be used in Essbase Administration Service, Esscmd, or MaxL. If the same error occurs when run within Essbase, then the issue is related to Essbase and not WebAnalysis.
