Login To Discoverer Fails With 'Invalid Applications GWYUID setting' After APPLSYSPUB Password Change (Doc ID 864783.1)

Symptoms

After changing the password for APPLSYSPUB on an 11i E-Business Suite instance and migrating the same password in the dbc file of the Discoverer 10g standalone instance, When attempting to connect to Discoverer,
the following error occurs:

ERROR
A connection error has occurred.
- Unable to connect, possibly due to an invalid Applications GWYUID setting.



You may have performed a similar steps:

  1. Changed the password for APPLSYSPUB.
  2. Migrated the same password in the dbc file of the Discoverer 10g standalone.
  3. Received the error on connection.
