MaxL Import Database Command With Create Slice Option Causes Parse Error "essmsh error: Parse error near add" (Doc ID 871844.1)

Running Maxl script with encryption (essmsh -d), the following statement is not working as expected:

import database 'xxx'.'xxx' data from load_buffer with buffer_id 1 add values create slice;

It throws a parse error and the statement fails:

"essmsh error: Parse error near add"
