When opening a Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) application the following error message appears for some users:
You do not have sufficient access to perform this task
The users are mostly provisioned through roles granted to NTLM (NT Lan Manager) group objects of which their NTLM usernames are members. In the HyperionCSS.log file there are number of 'Access denied to provider' errors.
A new HFM DCOM user was configured, which is local Windows user on the HFM application servers and not a user object / member of the NT domain that the CSS file is pointing to.
