This document describes how to enable Single Sign On (SSO) for Discoverer 11g (184.108.40.206.0) and adds some additional information that is not documented in the Discoverer Configuration Guide.

220.127.116.11 How to enable and disable Single Sign-On for Discoverer
Fusion Middleware 11g release does not have a Single Sign-On (SSO) component; therefore, Oracle Single Sign-On 10g (10.1.4.3) has to be installed in a separate Oracle Home or machine with Oracle Internet Directory 11g (documented here) or as part of Identity Management 10g (10.1.4.3 ). Discoverer 11g has to be associated with Oracle Single Sign-On 10g (10.1.2.3 or 10.1.4.3). This step is mandatory to enable SSO for Discoverer 11g.
Your choices are:
- Updated with 18.104.22.168 release: Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11g
OAM is now in the certification matrix as of the 22.214.171.124 release [see: FMW on WLS - Id&Access tab - cell D7 as of this post]; however, please see the following note for further details and clarification

- FMw 11g Identity Management (OID) configured with Single Sign-On 10g (10.1.4.3)
- 10g (10.1.4.3) Identity Management Infrastructure
- 10g (10.1.2.3) Infrastructure - documented in Oracle Fusion Middleware Upgrade Guide for Oracle Identity Management 11g Release 1
Note: The context assumes using Discoverer in a standalone method. If you are using Discoverer with an E-Business Suite integrated SSO environment, then follow the requirements dictated by E-Business Suite (i.e. - you cannot use 10.1.2.3 Infrastructure in that environment).
