This document describes how to enable Single Sign On (SSO) for Discoverer 11g (  and adds some additional information that is not documented in the Discoverer Configuration Guide.

Fusion Middleware 11g release does not have a Single Sign-On (SSO) component; therefore, Oracle Single Sign-On 10g (  has to be installed in a separate Oracle Home or machine with Oracle Internet Directory 11g (documented here) or as part of Identity Management 10g ( ).  Discoverer 11g has to be associated with Oracle Single Sign-On 10g ( or This step is mandatory to enable SSO for Discoverer 11g.

Note: The context assumes using Discoverer in a standalone method. If you are using Discoverer with an E-Business Suite integrated SSO environment, then follow the requirements dictated by E-Business Suite (i.e. - you cannot use Infrastructure in that environment).
