Is it Possible to Customize default Hyperion Planning Workforce Out of the Box Members EG. [NUMBEROFPERIODSINYEAR] (Doc ID 950616.1)

Last updated on JULY 13, 2011

Hyperion Planning - Version: 9.3.1.0.00 to 11.1.1.3.00 - Release: 9.3 to 11.1
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Workforce Hyperion Planning creates a series of system generated members/variables used in calculating personnel expenses. These system-generated members do not appear in the Essbase outline, EPMA dimension libraries or Planning. (an example is [NumberOfPeriodsInYear]).

Where can the logic behind these members be modified?
Example:
"Fiscal TP-Index" . The formula for this member is
[OpenInputValueBlock]
[FiscalTPIndex]
[CloseInputValueBlock]

When the formula for [FiscalTPIndex] is "expanded" into Essbase, a number of 1-12 representing Jan-Dec is generated
Businesses want to plan for more than one year at a time, and therefore, would like to see [FiscalTPIndex] to return 1-12 for Jan-Dec in the current year, 13-24 for Jan-Dec in the next year, 25-36 for Jan-Dec in the next year . . . . and so on.
