This document is to guide Fusion Middleware 11g Discoverer administrators who need to associate an OID/SSO environment with Discoverer after the initial installation.
If OID/LDAP details are provided during the installation or while configuring Discoverer, then you are prompted to provide the OID/SSO details the Discoverer middle-tier is associated.
You may need to do this manually, if:
- you want to change the SSO that is already associated with Discoverer
- while configuring you did not provide the OID server details.
The Discoverer application can be accessed from one of these ports:
- Web Cache port
- Oracle Http Server port
- WebLogic managed server port (for WLS_DISCO)
It is always recommended that Discoverer be accessed from the outer most web-tier component (WebCache is the outer-most and WLS_DISCO is the inner-most). When you want to protect Discoverer URLs, you should protect the outermost component. This is what occurs if you associate during installation or running the configuration wizard (config.sh/config.bat).
Your choices are:
- Updated with 184.108.40.206 release: Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11g
OAM is now in the certification matrix as of the 220.127.116.11 release [see: FMW on WLS - Id&Access tab - cell D7 as of this post]; however, please see the following note for further details and clarification

The context of this note assumes using Discoverer in a standalone method. If you are using Discoverer with an E-Business Suite integrated SSO environment, then follow the requirements dictated by E-Business Suite (i.e. - you cannot use 10.1.2.3 Infrastructure in that environment).
