A letter was sent in April 2010 to customers regarding the end of Premier Support and offering of Extended Support for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.12.
Premier Support ends April 30, 2011. Tax, Legal and Regulatory ends April 30, 2012.
For Extended Support policies/options, contact your local Support Sales Representative.

1. Which Bugs can I expect to be addressed?
General Bugs will be accepted and dispositioned per Oracle's policy until April 30, 2011. Open Bugs as of that date will be fixed and an ESU available where appropriate. The ESU may be available after April 30, 2011. After April 30, 2011, no general bugs will be accepted unless requested by a customer who has purchased Extended Support.
2. Will Year-End fixes for 1099s, W2s, and T4s be available for Fiscal Year 2011?
A year end update for all customers for Canada and the US will be delivered for 2011. Therefore, Reg/Leg Bugs will be accepted until April 30, 2012, and an ESU available for those areas. All 8.12 customers get 2011 Year End support at no extra cost.
After that, for 2012 and 2013, you only get Year End support updates if you paid for extended support.
Note: for extended support customers, the US/CA fiscal year end will be supported through March 31, 2014.
3. What about Australia/NZ?
Support will be available for Aus/NZ through the fiscal year ending June 30, 2012. Therefore, Reg/Leg Bugs will be accepted until July 31, 2012.

4. Are Localization Tax issues included in Regulatory changes?
Yes. Certain localization issues are qualified as regulatory and fall under the Premier support plan through April 30, 2012.
5. Will baseline ESUs and/or Updates be issued after April 30, 2011?
Possibly for Extended Support Customers
6. Will I be able to download an ESU for 8.12 after April 30, 2011 that was available prior to April 30, 2011?
Yes, existing ESUs will remain available on for download via Change Assistant and/or the Update Center page on My Oracle Support.
7. Is an upgrade path available from 8.12 to 9.1?
Yes, an upgrade path exists for 9.1. Review the Upgrade Web Site for more details.
8. What does Sustaining Support provide?
Sustaining support puts you in control of your upgrade strategy. With Sustaining Support, you will receive technical support for as long as you operate your systems, including access to our online support tools, knowledgebases, pre-existing fixes for your solution, and assistance from technical support experts. For some customers, Sustaining Support will allow continued use of the release. However, if you are actively implementing new sites, business processes, or modules, carefully consider the policy to determine if Sustaining Support is the right strategy.
Sustaining support allows for download of ESUs that were issued during the support period prior to Sustaining. What is NOT provided are code changes and/or code change requests on releases in Sustaining Support.
9. What is the last Tools release that will be certified with 8.12?
Information regarding tools service packs certified with 8.12 can be found on the Update Center.
10: Can a customer without extended support purchased download an ESU available for extended support only?
No, a customer without extended support purchased cannot download an ESU available for extended support only.
11. Are updates available for year end for 2014?
No. We are no longer providing updates for 8.12. Oracle has extended another offer as part of an ACS Program. Details here.
