E1: ESU: Troubleshooting Known Errors And Issues With UBE R98403XB - Load XML Data to Table (Doc ID 1072809.1)

Purpose

This document was created to assist customers on troubleshooting the different scenarios, causes and resolutions for issues involving ESU install errors when there are errors occurring on running UBE report R98403XB - Load XML Data to Table.


UBE R98403XB - "Load XML Data to Table" is often launched from a Planner ESU / Special Instructions step. This process loads XML data from your ESU in to the LOCAL database for use. The Special Instruction lists processing option settings to be used for this UBE.
This UBE can also be launched from a Baseline ESU and/or from an ASU type Update, like 9.0 Update 2 (UL2). It creates a PDF report that is one page long only. Here are a couple of examples of successful R98403XB PDFs:

 Scenario 7 - R98403XB Ends In "Retryable operation failed" and JDB9900428 Errors When Attempting To Apply ASU Update 2 (UL2) To Recently Upgraded Environment With New iSeries 7 Enterprise Server
 Scenario 8 - UBE R98403XB (Load XML Data to Table) Error - All Tables End With "Copy Failed" Message
 Scenario 9 - Applying ESUs generating R98403XB related error messages - TCP/IP port 1433 connection refused
 Scenario 10 - Applying ESUs generating R98403XB related error messages - Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
 Scenario 11 - When applying ESUs, R98403XB fails in Copy Failed and logs shows "ORA-12514, TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor" message
