E1: BSFN: Issue with Business Function B989460-Replace Value in String
(Doc ID 1078412.1)
Last updated on APRIL 18, 2025
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.97 to 8.98 [Release 8.97 to 8.98]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
We are using the Business Function B989460-Replace Value in String to replace a forward slash "/" with a hyphen "-" for a date after converting the date to a string. The business function works fine if the month is a single digit (i.e. 1-9, January-September). It also displays correctly if both the month and the day of the month are two digits (i.e. 10-31, 10-12.) However, if the month is two digits (10-12, October-December) and the day of the month is one digit (1-9), the second digit of the month is appended to the end of the day.
Something similar occurs with alpha characters as well. For example, these display properly:
- a/b/cc converts to a-b-cc,
- a/bb/cc converts to a-bb-cc,
- and aa/bb/cc converts to aa-bb-cc.
However, aa/b/cc converts to aa-ba-cc, which is incorrect.
Changes
This Business Function B989460-Replace Value in String was functioning correctly prior to our upgrade to EnterpriseOne 8.12.
