E1: GEN: Troubleshooting the "Could not load form", "Could not load event rule" or "Could not Load Report" After Generation (Doc ID 1154953.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 26, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version SP24 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

This document will help troubleshoot the could not load form, could not load event rule or could not load report errors caused by an incorrect JDK, JDE Tools Release, an ESU applied incorrectly or because of a NULL in the error message. In general this always leads to next error message:

JAS_MSG431: Fetch serialized object failed. Please contact your system administrator.

This document also helps with the following:

  1. How to check JDK to ensure the right JAVA version is being used.
  2. What is the right executable (EXE) install file used on the generation machine.
  3. Tips on how to generate serialized objects successfully.
  4. JAS serialized objects generate successfully as reported, however none of the EnterpriseOne forms are accessible even after a successful generation.
