There are times when a server may be tasked with doing several things, such as being not only the logic server, but also hosting a web solution as well such as WebLogic or Websphere. When this occurs the current server manager agent may or may not function properly if all of these items are added to a single agent process. If an agent behaves normally for some time but then fails to report back or it fails to start and stop services then this may be related to this issue.
Example: A customer has an iSeries machines where the same LPAR is being used to host Websphere as well as perhaps several EnterpriseOne services using multifoundation on the same machine. The customer notices issues in the agent behaving properly for starting and stopping services or failing to show a proper status of the instances being monitored.
