E1: ESU: Localization: P01012 Produces a Country Server Error After ESU Install (Doc ID 1256304.1)

Symptoms

In this scenario here, customer is at JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 application release level. When a user with localization activated in their user profile runs the P01012 Address Book application, they receive an error message:

Unable to retrieve NER object for serialized object table. If the NER for TER call another NER, we do not support it to be run locally.

To reproduce the error:

  1. User Profile must have a Location Country Code set in their User Profile from a valid value in UDC table 00/LC. 
  2. Above user opens the P01012 Address Book Revision and selects an address book record with a Tax ID identification number of a country for which validation exists. (Tax ID Validation exists for: Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Germany, France, United kingdom, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Finland or Belgium. ) 
  3. After clicking OK the error message noted above appears and user is unable to continue. 

The error in the P01012 began after the customer applied an E1 9.0 ESU that contained the P01012 and NER business function, N7000151. The Software Update (ESU) patch installed successfully and the Special Instructions were completed. Customer attempted to manually generate the P01012 and the N7000151, but received the same results.
