Purpose
The configuration of various Web Runtime parameters encompasses and affects a large part of EnterpriseOne functionality: the way business functions run, the way a UBE is submitted or the way a PDF prints. Therefore, any changes made to this section are critical and will affect functionality for all users.
- Errors which occur at runtime on a E1 HTML Client typically involves session timeouts, failure to interact with E1 Enterprise server and run logic either interactively or through a batch application.
- When reporting a web runtime issue GCS support engineers will ask for a detailed series of screenshots of the issue in order to duplicate issue in house.
- Oracle Support will also ask to see concurrent logs detailing the issue.
- Questions that may be pertinent to a runtime issue are:
- Is the issue limited to one user/application or all users/applications?
- How long has the user had the issue?
- Has anything changed in any of the INI files or has a new ESU, Tools Release, package been introduced?
- Can the issue be duplicated on a WebDev client?
Web runtime also encompasses an E1 HTML client's behavior with regard to such things as: malicious script attacks. Runtime Metrics can be tuned to optimize performance through Server Manager.
This document provides a reference for common web runtime settings.
