E1: GRID: Export to Excel 2007 Fails with Error "Problems came up in the following areas during load" (Doc ID 1276233.1)

When exporting grid data rows to Microsoft Excel 2007, we receive the following pop-up error:

Problems came up in the following areas during load: Table
This file cannot be opened because of errors. Errors are listed in :
C:\Users\<UserID>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.MSO\557C8A0C.log"


The file is corrupt and cannot be opened.

Steps to Duplicate :

  1. From P4210 Sales Order Details Revisions, from Tools Select Export Grid Data
  2. Click Continue
  3. Select Open with Microsoft Office Excel and click OK button
  4. Excel opens but pop up a screen saying "The file you are trying to open, 'export.xls', is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?"
  5. If you click OK, you will get the above error message.
