Last updated on JANUARY 03, 2020

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version SP24 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

A custom Named Event Rule (NER) business function is created with the Function name as CreateSalesOrder. On upgrade, found that there is a standard function in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne with the same name as CreateSalesOrder.  The custom NER function name is then changed to DSICreateSalesOrder.

After the function CreateSalesOrder is deleted from the custom NER, the NER object is check in, an update package is deployed and it works correctly.

However, anytime when user tries to create or deploy a full package, both Function names show up in the custom NER again - CreateSalesOrder and DSICreateSalesOrder. How to properly delete the function name from the custom NER?
