This document details the necessary steps customers need to find, research and download patches as Software Updates - ESUs (Including Planner and Baseline ESUs) using Update Center.
The Update Center is a centralized location for customers to download software updates. The updates that can be downloaded from it include:
Electronic Software Updates (ESUs),
Foundation Updates (including Service Packs and Tools Releases),
World code change documents
Other update types.
You cannot download these types of E1 software downloads:
Installations including new installs, standalone, etc.
Upgrade software to upgrade your current EnterpriseOne application release level;
ASUs such as console produces, localizations and release Updates
You also will not find on the Update Center, information about SARs that have not been made available in a downloadable ESU or foundation update. This would include SARs that were not completed (e.g. due to unable to reproduce, functioning as designed, parented to another SAR, etc.). It also includes SARs that were completed, but are not available in ESU for foundation update format. For example, a SAR that was completed prior to GA (I.e. was completed before the GA software came out making a downloadable update unnecessary) or a SAR that completed and made available only in an ASU (e.g. for a console, or a localization solution).
This document will focus only on how to find, research and download ESUs using Update Center.
