Symptoms

Customers who are using BI Publisher Enterprise 11g are facing issues with JDBC Driver connection to EnterpriseOne database using Data Access Driver (DAD).

Also for some instances, WebLogic Enterprise Manager Console stopped working after placing jar files related to E1 Data Access Driver in .../user_projects/domains/<bifoundation_domain>/lib directory. Following error messages are observed :

Missing Spec.ini when "autoDetectPackage=false" in jdbj.ini

JDBC Connection failure with "Unable to get initialize UserSession java.lang.NullPointerException" error in the logs

When pressing the test connection button, it shows Update Data Source:null and no error messages displayed.

E1root log shows Invalid Password message
