E1: WCS: EnterpriseOne Portlets are not Working On Webcenter- Portlet Consumer Error or Portlet Unavailable or Portlet Timed Out Message is Displayed

Information in this document applies to any platform.
After installing WebCenter Portal and configuring the WSRP setup:
- The E1 Menu portlet comes up, but when trying to "fast path" to any applications, nothing happens.
- Trying to use the Configurable_HTML_URI_IURI_Component: when configuring it and select the Next Button it takes the user out.
- When configuring any portlet (Self Service portlets/E1Menu/URI), after clicking Next the screen refreshes and nothing happens or Portlet Consumer Error is displayed.
In some cases users also receive "Portlet Timed Out" messages on screen and at the same time following messages can be seen in Portal logs:
