Purpose

This document explains the similarities and differences between Standard Manufacturing Accounting/Product Costing and Lean Manufacturing Accounting/Product Costing applications.  Comparisons among files, fields and document types are discussed.


This information is intended to increase the knowledge of the applications and to facilitate understanding and resolution of issues related to Lean Manufacturing.

Scope

This document is intended for users supporting Standard Manufacturing Accounting/Product Costing, or who have completed the MFG Accounting/Product Costing course in 8.11 Base and forward.  Users should be familiar with basic Product Data Management setup and Shop Floor Control processes for Standard and Lean Manufacturing.  For more detail in those areas, see E1: 31: Adhoc (Orderless) Item Completions (PF31011/RF31012/PF31014/RF31200/RF31210) Document 1385628.1.
