E1:BSSV: Getting Errors when passing a Date in the proper format and Data Type to the Business Function in a Custom BSSV (Doc ID 1353219.1)

Goal

Tried setting StartDate as a CALENDAR, DATE then STRING in a custom D5609158_Input.java file, but failed with the error log below:

Is there an example in a standard BSSV that makes a JDE BSFN call passing the date format?
