JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Advanced Pricing - Procurement - Version XE and later Information in this document applies to any platform.
Purpose
Simple groups can be used to organize and simplify pricing systems - where items or suppliers share similar characteristics, they can be assigned to a group, reducing the time and effort needed to add individual adjustments.
There are two types of simple groups: Item, and Supplier. A simple price group is identified by a user defined code (UDC). Category codes are not used in simple groups.
For items, you set up a price group name in UDC 40/PI and assign the group name to the item in the Item Branch/Plant information.
For suppliers, you set up a price group in UDC 40/PC and assign the group to the supplier in the supplier master.
