E1: 45: Trade Discount Functionality in Advanced Pricing in Sales (P4210/R42750)
(Doc ID 1363196.1)
Last updated on JULY 09, 2021
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Advanced Pricing - Sales - Version XE and later Information in this document applies to any platform.
Purpose
A trade discount is the simplest way to offer a discount to a customer. The system applies the discount to all items that are sold to the customer. The trade discount overrides all other pricing, including base price, standard pricing, and advanced pricing adjustments. Additionally, a manually entered price can either have the trade discount applied to it, or be maintained by the system, depending on how Pricing Constants are set. (See "Override Functionality" details below). The Order and Basket Level Pricing UBE, R42750, will remove the Trade Discount.
Advanced pricing does not need to be activated to use a trade discount, but users should be aware of how this fixed discount interacts with advanced pricing functionality. It is not possible to have the trade discount apply in conjunction with advanced pricing adjustment(s). The trade discount is not available on the Supplier Master (P04012) so cannot be used with Purchase orders.
