E1: SVM: Server Manager Spawning Multiple QZRCSRVS Jobs on iSeries - Performance Issue (Doc ID 1380213.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2015

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.98 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Every time you refresh the CPU and Memory load graphs in Server Manager (Ex: by pressing F5 in the browser), two new QZRCSRVS server processes are spawned on the iSeries Enterprise Server.  These processes remain until the Server Manager agent is restarted. Several hundred can be spawned yet they appear to do nothing (they can be manually ended) and performance suffers.

You have noticed two separate events that cause these server processes to spawn:

  1. When you first drill into the E1 instance in SMC and see the CPU and memory usage screens show two QZRCSRVS processes spawned.
  2. If you refresh the CPU and memory usage graphs using F5 in the browser, 2 more QZRCSRVS processes are spawned.

You only have one "Event Resources" monitor set for this server and instance. It is set to query every 60 seconds and keep 288 data points.
