Last updated on JANUARY 16, 2018

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.97 and Prior and later
x86 64 bit

Symptoms

Issue 1:

Installed JD EnterpriseOne Platform Pack of E8.12 and Server Manager(SM) Agent using "jde812" User, which is working fine. As an additional requirement installed Webserver(e.g. WebSphere Application Server 7.0) on the same Server using "root" User successfully. Now when trying to register this WAS\Web Server to the Server Manager, its unable to create managed instance for the Web Server.

WARNING: Unable to instantiate the WebSphere instance: the user running the Server Manager agent does not own the Websphere installation. The user running the agent is 'jde812', the WebSphere file owner is 'root'

Issue 2:

When running multiple versions of Web Servers (e.g.WAS 7.0, WAS 6.1, OAS 10.1.3.1, OAS 10.1.3.4, WLS 10.3.2, WLS 10.3.5) on the single Linux\Unix Box being managed by same Management Agent might lead to issues related to Runtime Metrics, Registrations with Server Manager and performance.
