E1: SVM: Server Manager Management Console is Slow After Upgrading To JRockit JDK (Doc ID 1459144.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 19, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.98 and later
Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit) - Version: 2008 R2

Symptoms

After upgrading to the most recent JRockit 6 R28.2.3 JDK version on the Deployment Server for Server Manager Management Console (SMMC), it is running considerably slower.  The install was successful but performance in SMMC is not acceptable.  This is for EnterpriseOne 9.0 with Tools Release 8.98.4.x; where SMMC is shipped with SUN 1.5_08 JDK.

Another issue seen with Server Manager: SMMC lists agent log files that are available for each agent machine. On the screen that lists the log files, the time stamp is off considerably (5, 6 or more hours) than the time stamp shown for "last modified date" for the same log files on the server on which it resides. When viewing agent log files from SMMC, the time stamp on the files is shown in GMT instead of the local timezone. This issue is apparent for Windows 2008 servers.

Changes

The delivered JDK of SUN 1.5_08 was upgraded to JRockit 6 R28.2.3 JDK for SMMC.
