E1: UBE: Understanding UBE Submission Process

Purpose
EnterpriseOne Batch Applications can be submitted to the enterprise or batch server in many different ways:
- Batch Versions application P98305 or P98305W
- Solution Explorer task menu
- EnterpriseOne Scheduler server
- RUNUBE or RUNUBEXML commands directly on the enterprise server console
- Report Interconnect calls defined in Interactive and other Batch applications
- BSFN that calls API LaunchUBE, LaunchUBEEx or LaunchUBEEx2
Sometimes the submission process will fail for one reason or another. When this happens users will usually see a pop-up message on their EnterpriseOne client screen or specific error messages will appear in logs.
This document provides information about the processes that take place when a UBE is submitted to a server up to the point a job record is inserted in the Job Master table F986110.
