E1: BSSV: Connecting to BSSV from JDeveloper tool returns - LOGIN FAILED!! (Doc ID 1525258.1)

Symptoms


When using jdeveloper tool from OMW, trying to add a new value object class. When clicking on New, an error occurs "Connecting to BSSV from JDEVELOPER - LOGIN FAILED!!"
or

In Jdev 12c, when trying to add a new EnterpriseOne Project, an error occurs "LOGIN FAILED!!"

Scenario 1:

The BSSVdebug log shows the following error

 

[INVALID_CONNECTION_PARAMETERS] Invalid database user or password passed in. com.jdedwards.system.connector.dynamic.ServerFailureException: [INVALID_CONNECTION_PARAMETERS] Invalid database user or password passed in.

 

 Scenario 2:

Scenario 4:

When trying to create a JDE class using JDeveloper 12c tool an error occurs "LOGIN FAILED!!"

The BSSVdebug log shows the following error

[SEVERE] - [BASE] com.jdedwards.database.base.JDBException: [DATABASE_CONNECT_FAILED] Database Connection failed for DataSource System - 910. java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver found for jdbc:sqlserver://<database_server>:1433
[SEVERE] - [BASE] com.jdedwards.database.base.JDBException: [DATABASE_CONNECT_FAILED] Database Connection failed for DataSource System - 910. com.jdedwards.database.base.JDBException: [DATABASE_CONNECT_FAILED] Database Connection failed for DataSource System - 910.

 


Scenario 5:

Login failed in Jdev 12 when using the driver DB2JCC4.JAR
