E1: FDA: In Visual Assist UDC P0005S Description / Description 2 in Header Allows Only Case-Sensitive Search for SQL database (Doc ID 1531171.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 to 9.1 [Release 9.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Visual Assist UDC P0005S QBE column (Description / Description 2) is disabled by design and a new field Description / Description 2 in the Header is used instead for search.

Description / Description 2 in the Header allows only case-sensitive search. For example, c* returns records with matching lowercase c, C* returns records with matching uppercase C. It should not be case-sensitive, typing c* or C* should return all matching starting with lowercase c or uppercase C like it used to when QBE column(Description / Description 2) was enabled or in fastpath UDC application P0004A.
