Purpose

Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Transportation Management enables you to determine the lowest-cost mode of transportation and find, arrange, and track the lowest-cost, best-performing carrier.

 

With Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Transportation Management, you can integrate your logistics functions for the visibility you need to cost-effectively plan, arrange, and track the distribution and delivery of your products. You can manage all types of shipping from a single system, including truckload, less-than-truckload (LTL), multi-modal, private fleet and public carrier. And, you are equally well equipped to handle the delivery requirements of bulk and packaged goods.

This document lists technical information when upgrading JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software from application release Xe onwards to latest application releases 9.x (9.0, 9.1 and 9.2), focusing specifically in the Transportation Management System application module. This document also contains reference to various available documents containing information on new and existing functionality for the Transportation module.

Scope

For customers upgrading EnterpriseOne software application release level and would like an overview of significant changes in the Transportation Management System application module.

NOTE: Customers upgrading from EnterpriseOne 8.9, 8.10, 8.11 or 8.11 SP1 application release levels cannot directly upgrade to 9.2. In this case, they need to upgrade to EnterpriseOne 9.0 or 9.1 first, then in a second step, upgrade to 9.2 application release level. Refer to our Upgrade Advisor: JD Edwards (JDE) EnterpriseOne 9.2 (Doc ID 2048438.1) for further details on the upgrade process.
