Purpose

Overview

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne OMW logging tracks information about projects and objects.

A major log is created whenever:

For every significant step or event within these actions, the system creates a detail log and attaches it to the major log record.

By default full logging in OMW is turned on. You can reduce logging detail using the Object Management Configuration application (OMC - P98230). Please see the section on Configuring Logging System in <Document 1561329.1> - E1: OMW: Understanding Object Management Configuration (P98230) for more detail.

OMW Logging does not track the actual code changes on an object. In Object Management Configuration P98230 there is an option to Configure Source Management Integration with 3rd party source code management software. Review <Document 657024.1> - E1: OMW: Object Management Workbench (OMW) and SCM Integration.

This document provides in detail how to view logging information in Object Management Workbench application (OMW - P98220). It also provides a reference list of the OMW error codes.

Scope

This document is intended for system administrators, developers, and technical consultants who are responsible for change management activities using Object Management Workbench.
