On : 9.1 version, MRP R3482
MRP (R3482) does not have visibility of inventory in Receipts Routing. The items in inventory have Production Numbers. The ESU containing Bug 17363148 - MRP DOES NOT HAVE VISIBILITY OF INVENTORY IN RECEIPTS ROUTING FOR PRODUCTION CON was applied, but the issue still exists.
MRP does not take into account the quantities on purchase order receipt routing in inspection. A new MRP order message (P3411) is generated for the quantity in receipt routing.
MRP should use the details stored in the purchasing and receipt routing tables (F43121 and F43092) to identify and sum the quantities for a specific production number.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
When using Production Control Numbered items (PMPN):
1. MRP runs and detects demand for a purchased part and creates an MRP message
2. The MRP message is processed, which creates a purchase order to balance the supply and demand
3. The purchase order is received and placed into receipts routing
4. MRP runs again while the inventory quantity is still in receipts routing. Because MRP is not provided the visibility to this supply quantity (for the specific Production Control Number) in receipts routing, for production controlled parts, it creates another MRP message to purchase the quantity again, even though the demand is fully covered.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, PMPN items that enter receipt routings are not planned properly.
